Our excitement to share this information comes from a trend we were seeing with our customers. That trend? You may have seen the July 2019 headline from a Kim Slowey story in Construction Dive about the concentration of construction activity in the US. But did you know....that many of Qnect’s customers work on projects that cross state lines? Working in a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment and using SaaS applications such as Qnect allows for project participants to be about anywhere. The results include more project opportunities and greater margins.

We are excited to announce a few big updates to the QuickQnect Preference Settings. You will now find three categories:

• Basic Information
• Connection Types
• Forces

This allows the user to separate the Basic Preferences from the Advanced Preferences saving you even more time and allowing you to focus on what's needed with your particular project. 

For this week’s Tech Tuesday, we’re going to learn “How To: Change A Single Angle Side in Tekla Using Qnect.” Qnect makes it easy to change the side of a steel connection from one side to another. There are several reasons why this will need to be done but our focus today is the technology to make this happen easily. In this video, you will see how to use the Qnect Listener and the Tekla Structures UDA to make this process work.
