    • In general, if the customer would like to only use mandated connections on the job and do not want Qnect to figure out a connection that is not specifically added to the Mandated Connections preferences, then make this answer Yes.
    • If the customer would like to define certain joints to be done in a defined (mandated) way and a joint is sent to Qnect that is not on the list, then Qnect will design the connection based on the other preferences already defined.  In this case, make the answer No.
    • Either way, if a joint is sent to Qnect that is on the Mandated list but the defined connection does not meet all limit states, the user can choose to not connect the joint or to continue the process and design a successful connection.  This is done in the Mandated Connection preference line item per scenario to Enforce or Not Enforce the detail.
